Rude Awakening
03:32
|
|||
I see faces and I hear voices,
And I make changes and I make choices,
And, now, I wonder why, it’s a strong surprise, when you find yourself down inside the hole.
And I, now I wonder why, it’s a strong surprise when you find yourself buried in unholy ground.
Some will win and now some will lose,
And uh, I have blood on my blue suede shoes,
And, now, I wonder why, it’s a strong surprise, when you find yourself down inside the hole.
And I, now I wonder why, it’s a strong surprise when you find yourself buried in unholy ground.
Ground!
And, now, I wonder why, it’s a strong surprise, when you find yourself down inside the hole.
And I, now I wonder why, it’s a strong surprise when you find yourself buried in unholy,
buried in unholy, buried in unholy ground?

We Are Immortal
02:40
|
|||
Lifting, we are lifting you up,
Closer to what’s in your heart now.
We will help you to stand.
Keep your eyes on the prize now.
We will rise up, empowered, through the flames.
Gifted, we are gifted with love.
Don’t wait, there’ll be no tomorrow,
The time is now, don’t hesitate.
Keep your eyes on the prize now.
We will rise up, empowered, through the flames.
Ripping, tearing, like a fire.
Growing stronger, reaching higher.
We were born to overcome.
One for all and all for one.
Together we are immortal,
We are the masters of our own fate.
We will never surrender,
We hold the key to Heaven’s Gate.
Keep your eyes on the prize now.
We will rise up empowered,
Triumphant, through the flames!

Cold As A Stone
04:36
|
|||
It’s not that I don’t love you, because I swear to God I do,
But sometimes I feel I’m actually more alone when I’m with you.
And I know you said you want me, oh yeah I wanna believe that’s true,
You just seem so far above me, that I just can’t reach you.
Well I just can’t reach you.
And I know you said you want me, oh yeah I wanna believe that’s true.
You just seem so far above me baby, I just can’t reach you.
Well I just can’t reach you all night.
‘Cause all I’ve ever wanted is a warm place to call home, and you knew it baby.
But the shelter, oh, that you gave me was as cold as a stone.
You’re cold as a stone.
Come on give me shelter, well give me sunshine when there’s rain.
Give me all the love that you promised me in vain.
Come on give me freedom, well give me freedom from my cage.
Give me all the love that you promised me in vain.
Come on give me shelter.
Come on give me freedom.
Come on give me shelter.
Come on give me shelter, well give me sunshine when there’s rain.
Give me all the love that you promised me in vain.
Come on give me freedom, well give me freedom from my cage.
Give me all the love that you promised me in vain.
Come on give me shelter, well give me sunshine when there’s rain.
Give me all the love that you promised me in vain.
Come on give me freedom, well break me free from Satan’s chains.
Give me all the love that you promised me in vain.
Come on give me shelter.

Naked Truth
03:30
|
|||
I don’t need you to like me; I don’t need you to care,
And if you look into my eyes, you won’t see any fear.
All I want is your respect and that’s what I’m asking for,
So I will show you mine, if you will show me yours.
I want to know what’s deep inside you; I’d walk through Hell with your hand in mine.
Don’t hold back, take off your mask, the truth will stand the test of time.
What if love was just a concept and hate was just a word,
And all you deepest feelings could finally be heard?
What if all of the religions, creeds, colors, and the races,
Tore off all their masks and showed their real faces?
I want to know what’s deep inside you; I’d walk through Hell with your hand in mine.
Don’t hold back, take off your mask, the truth will stand the test of time.
The moon is a thief, who steals his light from the sun,
He hides his face in the dark, until the day is done.
I wanna know what’s deep inside you; I’d walk through Hell with your hand in mine.
Don’t hold back, take off your mask, the truth will stand the test of time.

Walk Tall
04:25
|
|||
It’s hard to walk tall when there’s a mountain in your way.
Yeah, you’re looking for redemption, but you’re not sure how to pray.
So you go sit by the river and you watch the water flow,
Yeah you try to forget what you don’t even know yet.
Oh oh oh oh, you don’t know.
But Mamma’s in the kitchen and Daddy’s in the yard.
Waiting for you to come home,
And they’re getting kind of worried, it’s a little after dark
And they’re never sure how far you’ll roam.
Now it seems as though things they never change,
Still it turns in cycles like second chances and returning glances.
Oh oh oh oh, you don’t want to be alone.
Oh oh, you don’t want to be alone.
Oh oh, you don’t want to be alone.
You try to do what’s right, now you look to what is left
You struggled all your life, now you’re breathing your last breath.
Now it seems as though things they never change,
Still it turns in cycles like second chances and returning glances.
Oh oh oh oh, you don’t want to be alone.
Said won’t you bring me home, come take me by my hand,
I don’t want to die alone in this God forsaken land.
Said won’t you bring me home, come take me by my hand,
I don’t want to die alone in this God forsaken land.
In this God forsaken land, in this God forsaken land,
I don’t want to die alone in this God forsaken land.
I don’t want to die alone.
You try to do what’s right, now you look to what is left.
You struggled all your life, but you still got some fight left.

Circus Clown
03:42
|
|||
You, you had me wondering where you been, where you been all my life?
But I, well I was stumbling.
In the end I should have taken the dive.
Whoa I, I should have taken the dive.
Whoa I, I should have taken the dive.
Can you feel it? Cause, I can feel it too.
And do you need it, as much as I need you?
Cause when I found you oh my head was underground,
But when you left me you were nowhere to be found.
You, you had me wondering where you been, where you been all my life?
But I, well I was stumbling.
In the end I should have taken the dive, called it a night.
Whoa I should have taken the dive.
I should have taken the dive.
The only sound that I could hear was one hundred demons in my ear,
Telling me I should stay.
You, you had me wondering where you been, where you been all my life?
But I, well I was stumbling.
In the end, I should have taken the dive, called it a night.

Washed In Flames
04:59
|
|||
I saw the sun set in your eyes.
The day you said goodbye, I heard the angels cry.
And all of the love you gave to me,
You set my spirit free, you taught me to believe.
Now, can you forgive me for the hundredth time,
For all the times I’ve lied, for all the times you’ve cried?
And can you release me from the guilt and shame
I carry through the flames, screaming out your name?
Fire cleanses all!
The fire cleanses all my sins away.
Oh, can’t you hear me calling?
Can’t you hear me calling out your name through the flames?
I saw disappointment in your smile,
You turned and asked me why I was flying so damn high.
And all of the trust you gave to me,
Was scattered like dead leaves, falling from the trees.
Now, can you forgive me for the thousandth time,
For all the times I’ve lied, for all the times you’ve cried?
And can you release me from this ball and chain,
I’m dragging through the flames, screaming out your name?
Fire cleanses all!
The fire cleanses all my sins away.
Oh, can’t you hear me calling?
Can’t you hear me calling out your name through the flames?
You always knew there’d be days like this, and you tried to cure me with a kiss,
And you held my hand as I walked through the fire.
Out of the corner of my eye, I could see one angel smiling,
I always knew you wouldn’t let me die a liar!
Now can you forgive me for the millionth time,
For all the times I’ve lied and all the times you’ve cried?
And can you release me from the guilt and shame
I carry through the flames, screaming out your name?
Fire cleanses all!
The fire cleanses all my sins away.
Oh, can’t you hear me calling?
Can’t you hear me calling out your name through the flames?
I saw the sun set in your eyes
The day you said goodbye
I heard the angels cry.

Dear John,
03:44
|
|||
Ohhhhhh Dear John,
You’re used to having everything that you want,
But when it comes to respect, I can’t be sold or bought, oh no.
You got the whole God Damn world fooled,
You wear an angel’s smile; I could see right through to you, it’s true.
So when you tell me lies, right to my eyes,
I wanna lay you down. Lay you down.
I wanna lay you down. Lay you down.
I had you figured out from the start,
You got a predator’s mind, baby you’ve got no heart, oh no.
My daddy told me when I was young,
To keep my head up high, walk tall and proud my son. It’s done.
So when you tell me lies, right to my eyes,
I wanna lay you down. Lay you down.
I wanna lay you down. Lay you down. Lay you down.
You can wash your hands a thousand times, they will never be clean.
You can blind my eyes for a million years, they’ve seen what they’ve seen.
This is a warning, I don’t give warning shots.
Show respect, what you get is what you got.
This is a warning, I don’t give warning shots.
Show respect, or what you get is what you got.
What you get is what you got.
What you get is what you got.
What you get is what you got.
What you get is what you got.
What you get is what you got.
Show respect, what you get is what you got.

Freedom's Children
05:44
|
|||
“Here at our sea washed, sunset gates shall stand / A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame / Is the imprisoned lightening, and her name / Mother of Exiles.”
From “The New Colossus" written in 1883 by American poet Emma Lazarus.
Go!
From all across the sea they found shelter on her land
The huddled masses stretching forth an empty hand.
She welcomed them all, with arms opened wide,
With a promise of freedom and American Pride,
Stood tall in the harbor and through silent lips she cried,
We are Freedom’s Children;
“‘The wretched refuse of your teeming shore…; I life my lamp beside the golden door.’”
Over the years, they found refuge on her shore,
But Lady Liberty can surely give nothing more.
She remembers the terror on the day of attack,
And the falling towers, now it’s time to fight back.
She stands in the harbor ready for war.
We are Freedom’s Children.
The time has come to stand up tall.
The time has come for one and all.
We are Freedom’s Children.
The time has come to stand and fight.
The time has come and that time’s tonight.
Every day, terror sweeps across our land.
I cast my eyes on Lady Liberty, as she reaches out her hand.
She cries, “Now my people are tired, they are huddled and they are poor”.
She drops her torch into the bay, she makes a fist… she won’t take anymore.
We are Freedom’s Children.
The time has come to take back our share.
The time has come; what’s fair is fair.
We are Freedom’s Children.
The time has come to see the signs.
The time has come to draw the line.
We are Freedom’s Children.
The time has come to stand up tall.
The time has come for one and all.
We are Freedom’s Children.
The time has come to stand and fight.
The time has come and that time’s tonight.

Hannah
05:07
|
|||
Her friends all stood in line, I watched them come about a hundred at a time,
Just to say goodbye whoa to a ray of their sunshine.
Well Hannah was her name,
and I swear she was the spark that lit this flame,
But it tore me up inside whoa when I saw her daddy cry.
He cried out! Oh oh oh oh oh oh.
She was only fifteen years old,
When she left with only memories left to hold.
Her daddy asked me,
“Please, won’t you help write a song for me?
Something sweet and clear
Won’t you help wash away the tears?”
So I held him oh so tight,
I let him know that everything will be all right. All right now.
In times like this we, we question our faith.
We damn the night and we, we damn the day.
If there’s a God, how could He let it happen this way? All right now.
But I’ve heard it said by an old wise man,
“In time it’s true, we will all understand, our Father’s love never lets go of His child’s hand!”
All right now! Oh oh oh oh oh oh. Never let go.
Her friends all stood in line, I watched them come about a hundred at a time.
Don’t let go. Don’t let go.
